meridian1. Agreement and eligibility
By installing, accessing, or using Meridian, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be authorised to act for the Shopify store you connect and capable of entering a binding agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
Meridian analyses authorised Shopify catalogue and commercial data to identify evidence-backed merchandising opportunities, prepare reviewable actions, and record directional outcomes. Features may change as the product develops. We may improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, and will use reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes.
Product tours, examples, and modeled upside figures are estimates or demonstrations. They are not promises of actual store conditions or future performance.
3. Your account and responsibilities
- Keep your Shopify account and authorised-user access secure.
- Provide accurate information and ensure your use complies with law and Shopify’s terms.
- Maintain appropriate backups and review proposed changes before approval.
- Do not connect a store or submit information you are not authorised to use.
You are responsible for decisions made by your authorised users and for the content, products, claims, and operation of your store.
4. Recommendations, AI, and store changes
Meridian separates observed data from hypotheses where practical, but automated analysis can be incomplete or incorrect. You must review outputs and exercise independent judgment.
The current action workflow requires merchant approval before a supported product-description change is sent to Shopify. Approval is your instruction to apply that change. Rollback is offered as a convenience and may be unavailable if the product has since been edited or Shopify rejects the request.
Outcome measurement is directional and based on rolling comparison windows. It does not establish causation or guarantee that Meridian produced a change in revenue or units.
5. Fees, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans and applicable taxes are shown before purchase or in the Shopify billing approval flow. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel through Shopify or by uninstalling the app; cancellation takes effect according to the billing terms shown at purchase. Charges already incurred are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Meridian, interfere with the service, bypass security or usage controls, reverse engineer protected components except where law permits, use the service to violate rights or law, introduce malicious code, or use automated means that impose unreasonable load. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, merchants, Shopify, or others.
7. Ownership and feedback
You retain ownership of your store information and content. You grant Meridian the limited rights needed to process that information and provide the service. Meridian and its licensors own the service, software, interface, documentation, and branding. If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or payment, without identifying you publicly unless you agree.
8. Confidentiality and privacy
Each party will use reasonable care to protect non-public information received from the other and will use it only for the service or as legally required. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Warranties and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meridian is provided “as is” and “as available.” We exclude implied warranties that can legally be excluded. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or any commercial result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meridian is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or loss-of-profit damages. Our aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of AUD $100 or the fees you paid for Meridian in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where they cannot legally apply.
10. Termination
You may stop using Meridian or uninstall the app at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach, security risk, unlawful use, non-payment, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. These terms and referenced policies form the entire agreement about the service unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
